USP's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) office in Basel, Switzerland focuses on developing and managing customer relations in these regions. Opened in 2005, it was USP’s first office outside of the United States. This office supports USP's global initiatives in the EMEA regions by:

  • Fostering collaborative customer relationships and increasing awareness of USP
  • Developing and delivering Global Education and Training programs
  • Encouraging stakeholder participation in the development of USP documentary and physical Reference Standards

A non-laboratory facility, the office’s central European location offers convenient access to customers and stakeholders in the regions. Through USP’s global certificate, the site is certified to ISO 9001:2008.
